Traveling, living and working abroad are favorite themes in my writing. Here's a selection of my travel-related work.
Globus family of brands: "Every journey tells a story" project, 2007.
From Neuschwanstein to Cologne's Dom, from the Berlin Wall to the vineyards of Franken, 30 popular German destinations got their own vignette stories in my work for Globus, a major European tour operator. Some of the stories are housed at Storysuitcase.

Promises to God are notoriously hard to keep. The townspeople of Oberammergau in the Bavarian Alps have not only kept their renaissance promise, they’ve turned it into euros and cents. Flashback to 1633. Oberammergau was a stop on the market road between Augsburg and Venice. When the plague hit, the town elders swore to heaven: Protect us and we’ll do a play about Jesus’ crucifixion every ten years...

Anyone who thinks of Germany only as an economic powerhouse of the 20th century probably has never heard of the medieval Hanseatic League and its gabled queen, the city of Lübeck. This city on the East Sea with its stately houses and proud monuments is proof positive of German economic power of another age...
